A franchisee of coworking concept Venture X is bringing a shared office space to Uptown Dallas.
As reported by the Dallas Morning News, franchise owner Jonathan Ellis has inked a deal to bring a Venture X location to the One McKinney building at Hall Street and McKinney Avenue. The location will span 22,500 square feet on the tower’s fifth floor, and include community spaces, conference rooms and 240 desks.
Colliers International negotiated the lease with building owner, Gaedeke Group, the DMN reported.
Venture X has been expanding across North Texas, with three offices open in Dallas, Irving and Plano, and another seven under development in Dallas, Fort Worth and Richardson.
But the Florida-based company faces stiff competition in the Dallas-Forth Worth market, where other coworking concepts — like WeWork with six locations and Common Desk with four locations — are jockeying for market share.
Still, Venture X’s Brand President Tom Weber told the Dallas Business Journal last year that the company has big plans for DFW.
“Venture X decided to launch its flexible workspace in Dallas because of the astounding business growth the market is facing,” he said at the time. “The brand wants to associate itself with the positive advancements in the market.”
