Knotel Continues To Grow In SF With 3 New Leases – Bisnow

555 Montgomery St. in San Francisco

Flex office provider Knotel, which earlier this year added six locations in San Francisco, has signed three new office leases in the city.

The new leases total about 45K SF.

“We are thrilled to be adding more great locations in San Francisco,” Knotel Head of Expansion Kwame Spearman said in a statement. “Our continuous growth in the San Francisco office market is a key example of the rapid demand for flexible office space in the Bay Area.”

The company opened its first San Francisco location in 2017 at 972 Mission St.

The latest deals are as follows:

  • 555 Montgomery St. — The company is leasing 35,643 SF with landlord Gaw Capital for the third, sixth and 17th floors. Newmark Knight Frank‘s Roman Adler represented Gaw Capital, and HelloOffice’s Justin Bedecarre, Blake Stanley and Bryan Emmanuel represented Knotel.
  • 26 O’Farrell St. — Knotel leased 5,592 SF on the second and fourth floors from landlord Leon Le. Colliers International‘s Jim Sobel represented Le, and HelloOffice’s Bedecarre, Stanley and Emmanuel represented Knotel.
  • 615 Sacramento St. — The company leased 2,800 SF on the second and third floors from landlord Birmingham, represented by Colliers’ Sobel. Knotel was represented by Bedecarre, Stanley and Emmanuel.

With these leases signed, Knotel now operates nearly 200K SF in 20 locations in San Francisco. The company, which started in New York and designs, builds and operates custom spaces for companies with 50 employees or more, operates more than 1.7M SF in more than 100 locations worldwide and plans to expand in existing cities and new markets in the U.S. and other countries.

The company’s founder has said he expects Knotel to be bigger than coworking company WeWork in the next 15 months.
